During 14th Croatian Biological Congress held from October 12th to 16th in Pula, more than 300 biologists from all over the world participated in a rich scientific program, plenary lectures and workshops, having the opportunity to present their research results through oral and poster presentations within eight thematic sections (Genetics, cellular and molecular biology; Evolution, systematics, phylogeny and biogeography; Microbiology; Marine biology; Biology of terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems; Toxicology and ecotoxicology; Conservation biology, Nature and environmental protection; Comparative physiology, immunobiology and human biology; Biomedicine).
Labena and eDNA Labs, as proud gold sponsor co-hosted the event with preparation and presentation of the “Environmental DNA” symposium. The symposium included plenary lectures by Dr. sc. Igor Stanković, prof. Ph.D. Thorsten Stoeck and Prof. Ph.D. Martyn Kelly, followed by project presentations of eDNA Labs team: Ph.D. Lucija Markulin and Ph.D. Ante Bubić. Labena team (Marina Panek, PhD, Sabina Vrečko, MSc and Saša Šterpin, MSc) also held a ddPCR workshop for the participants of the Congress.
