About us

eDNA Labs are new Labena group R&D laboratories in Zagreb, Croatia. In order to ensure one-directional workflow and reduce chance of contaminations, eDNA Labs are designed to have dedicated rooms for water filtration, eDNA extraction as well as for pre-PCR and post-PCR work.

Services and products

eDNA Labs services include species-specific detection using qPCR/ddPCR and multi-species detection using DNA metabarcoding applying next generation sequencing (MiSeq).

About project

Maintaining and restoring good freshwaters and marine waters quality is essential. During last few decades several EU directives were published with the aim of preventing further water quality deterioration. These directives oblige all EU members to restore or maintain all water bodies at a ‘good’ ecological status.
